The David Dunlap Observatory is run by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Toronto Centre. We're a registered charity and all the people you see running the show each season are member volunteers. We consider ourselves stewards of this wonderful 76-year old facility and we spend countless behind-the-scene hours making sure that the Observatory and the Great Telescope are properly maintained.
