We were thrilled to have the crew of the television show Warehouse 13 on site in April 2011, shooting an episode of this great sci-fi show. The episode, set partly in 1918, used the historic Observatory and part of the Administration Building to capture that steampunk feel that defines the show. Many thanks to the stars and crew who took such great care of the DDO.

The David Dunlap Observatory welcomed more than 5,000 visitors during the 2010 season. People signed our guestbook with hometowns ranging from Italy and Israel to Australia and Africa.

In 2009, hundreds of people turned up to mark Richmond Hill Saving Energy Under the Stars, part of the town's Count Me In program.  The August event commemorated the massive power blackout of 2003. It was an occasion to promote energy conservation and the importance of preserving dark skies. We're looking forward to an even bigger turnout this year.

Andrew Yee of the Weather Network shoots many of his weekly astronomy segments at the David Dunlap Observatory.  The television station also promotes many of our activities. Andrew took some remarkable photos last time he was at the DDO.

RASC Toronto Centre member and Great Scope operator Rajesh Shukla captured this shot of a portion of the moon through the scope's eyepiece.

Luke Champion of BlogTO did a great job of capturing the spirit of an evening at the David Dunlap Observatory. Check it out here.

Thanks to the many media outlets that carried news of the December 2010 lunar eclipse.  They came to members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for the lunar lowdown.
